Hi, I’m Justin. I joined BBBS Colchester as executive director in January 2022. My role is to oversee the operations of the organization and lead the strategy for how we can bring the power of mentorship to more children and youth in Colchester County and surrounding communities.

Before joining BBBS Colchester, I worked in communications roles in community-based mental health care, professional sports, a national marketing firm and a government agency. I also have a background in journalism as a reporter and writer in local news and for an international hockey magazine.

I’ve also been a volunteer big brother since 2017, first in Oakville, Ont., and locally since 2020.

When I’m not at work, I’m usually watching hockey, binging new TV shows, or out and about with my partner, Caitlyn, and pup, Rory.

Hi, everyone, my name is Tina. I joined the team here in 2022 as the Finance Manager. I’m thrilled to be a part of the team and offer my skill set to an exceptional community organization. I look forward to meeting and greeting community members, volunteers, Bigs, and Littles as they visit the office.

In my spare time, you’ll find me enjoying the outdoors, spending time with my family and of course my two goldens Jasper and Gibson.

Hi everyone,  my name is Tamara.  I love being part of such a great team and organization!  You’ll meet me when you come to the office to play your Big Bucks and Travelotto.  It is fun to work with our awesome volunteers that help our big bucks 50/50 be such a success. When I’m not working I love being outdoors kayaking, hiking, or spending time with my family and my Little! I have recently learned to curl and have met many great people at the Truro curling club.

Hello everyone, Sallie here! I’m the Program Manager with the Bigs and Littles Program here at BBBS. I have been with the organization in this role since 2009. I screen and train volunteers, get to know Littles and families, and make and support matches! What I enjoy most about my work is seeing the amazing relationships that grow between Bigs and Littles- it’s very special to be a part of.

Outside of the office, I love to paint and create, cheer on the New England Patriots, spoil my dog and two cats, and I volunteer my time and space as a foster parent to kittens through the SPCA.

Hi all! My name is Ashlee. I’m a Mentoring Coordinator with the Big’s and Little’s program here at BBBS. I’ve been in my role at BBBS since August 2018. Just like Sallie, I screen and train volunteers, get to know the little’s and their families, along with make and support matches. What I enjoy most about my job is how rewarding it is. Seeing the smiles on the Big’s and Little’s faces and hearing their stories is so heartwarming!

When I’m not working, I’m busy doing my Bachelor of Social Work degree online through the University of Calgary which I will be graduating from in October 2022. I also enjoy spending time with my husband, our son, and spoiling our dog Red. There’s never a dull moment in my house!

Hi, I’m Stephanie! I joined the BBBS Colchester team in April 2022 as the Site-Based Mentoring Coordinator after finishing a BSc in Psychology (Honours) at MSVU. Like the other mentoring coordinators, I screen and train volunteers and mentees – all within the peer mentoring and in-school mentoring programs. I feel grateful to support healthy development in kids. Plus, I love that hanging out with them gives me an excuse to have fun!

Besides working for BBBS, I am a trained dance teacher, occasional singer/songwriter, lover of the outdoors and gardening, and a pet mom to a dog and a cat.

Hey Folks, I’m Chris.  I joined the BBBS Colchester team as Social Enterprise Manager in April 2022.

My role consists of overseeing Fundy Scoops (my favorite treat in town), and mentoring some of the amazing youth who keep the ice cream flowing and our guests smiling!  My goal is to give each of these fine young folks a great place to learn about the workforce while providing a great place to work and grow.

Before joining BBBS Colchester, I spent 25+ years managing in the restaurant and retail sectors, but never in a place as exciting as this!

When I’m not working you can find me on the soccer fields with my son, at various dance venues with my daughter, or making a mess in my woodworking shop.
